lyrics

(Village of Waterfalls)

--

"Mommy says that my great great great great granddaddies were being chased by bad mens, so they prayed real hard for a safe place to live, so the Goddess came down from her big cloud fortress in the sky and poked her finger into this biiiiiiiig group of rivers! And when she did, it made a big hole in the water, and all the rivers turned into waterfalls!"

"Well, you know what I did? I asked mommy why the water didn't just fill up the hole that the Goddess poked in, and you know what she said? She said that she made some of the waterfalls magic, and they flow upwards instead of downwards! When we went to Pawpaw's house, I saw them! Mommy and Daddy and my house are in the middle where all the "down" waterfalls are, and Grammy and Pawpaw's house are on the edge where the "up" waterfalls go, and we get to take the float-boats to ride the waterfalls up to his gardens!"

"You wanna know a secret? Mommy told me that the Goddess protected us by making it look like a really real river if you're looking at it from the top, so monsters can't get us! Isn't that neato? But you can't tell nobody, because she made me promise, and I'll get in trouble. Promise you won't tell? You better promise!"

~Fawnie O'Malley, Daughter of Dr. Shea O'Malley and Mrs. Raylynn O'Malley, 6 Years old

This quaint town lies within a deep valley surrounded by many waterfalls, which create a rich river environment that supports the villagers who make their home here. Travel from the edge of the valley to the town is orchestrated by a pulley system that lowers visitors safely to the main island.

This peaceful community of fisherman and traders employ a unique system to travel between the island communities; drawbridges are used to lower paths between each island to ensure safe travel on the rushing waterfall waters.

Saifa Village has only one law, "Learn to understand, and accept strangers as you would your family." This town has never known hardship or war, and thrive on the strong bonds the villagers have for each other.
