(Cutscene after the Final boss has been defeated)

--

It was done. The efforts and talents of the brave six had finally paid off, as the cacodemon lay dying at their feet. Defiantly, it screamed one last shriek before expiring.

That shriek was the final key, unlocking a torrent of life and death energy the demon had been storing for millenia. Like a black wall, the miasma shot into the sky.

This fight was not over.

(0:00) The minions poured forth. There was no option to fight. No amount of bravery could protect the six heroes from an army of darkness. Escape was paramount.

They ran, a legion of demons behind them, craving revenge for the death of their master. Before them was the rope ladder, extended from the sky. The Equation, their airship, hovered high above, unfazed by the dark energy swirling about the sky. With demons within mere inches of ending their existence, that rope ladder was the asylum.

They barely made it.

(0:45) Professor Lily Caera, the scholar who's lifebind to Earth magic was critical to the party's success, swung from the rope rungs. Travelling along the sky, she fiercely tried to come up with any solution that could possibly handle the unimaginably large wave of dark energy and death washing over the world below her. No calculations, no equations, no experimental data.

It was hopeless.

(1:17) Suddenly, an incredibly large shadow overtook them, and while it would seem that death would be imminent, the goblin Ashland, swinging wildly from the ladder a few yards above Lily shouted in immense joy. That shadow belonged to the entirety of Kokabe Island, the living jungle that saved their lives once before.

(1:39) In a blast of wind and rush of life energy, the island exploded into pure energy and rushed down to devour the darkness. The darkness recoiled as if a child reached a hand into fire for the first time, but there was no escape. The life energy held the hopes and will of every living creature of the planet, and the will to live was very strong indeed. The jade energy enveloped the darkness until the entire world was completely covered. In an incredible display of sacrifice, the energy exploded into a massive explosion of light, vanquishing every trace of the dark energy.

(2:00) The brave six, barely able to remain clutched to the rope ladder, steadied their gaze down to the world below. The brave party could visibly see the green from the arcanist side of the world slowly start to creep over to the Machinist side. Life was being restored to the once dead side of Broken Earth. There's an especially tender moment when Kemm, the firestarter child, finds his older brother alive and well in one of the towns consumed by darkness.

It was then, the party realized and celebrated their success. They had won.

(2:18) (This section is snapshots of the Equation flying over previously lifeless sections of the Machinist side of the world as life energy washes over it. Vegetation starts to grow, the sky transitions from the muddy brown to bright blue cloudy skies, and the residents start to slowly regain their magical abilities.)

(2:48) (The cut scene transitions back to an aerial shot of the Elemental Scar, which is still very bare and lifeless. The camera zooms in closer, through clouds and sky and focuses in on a falling seed, which looks identical to the seeds which saved Ashland's life on Kokabe Island. The seed tumbles and falls until it reaches the bottom of the Elemental Scar. The dead body of the Cacodemon is seen smoldering in the background with green mist rising from it and dissipating. When the seed lands, a small amount of the mist seems to "recognize" the seed, and quickly envelops it. The final shot is a small sapling sprouting from the seed before the camera fades to black.)
